Facebook lets you adjust its algorithm with AI: more control over Feed and Reels
Meta is bringing 'Your Algorithm' to Facebook, letting you use natural language to say what you want to see more or less of in Feed and Reels.

Facebook Your Algorithm AI is the new feature Meta announced for Facebook on 13 October 2026. With this AI feature, you can adjust your Feed and Reels by saying in plain language what you want to see more or less of.
What exactly is new?
The new feature is called Your Algorithm. Meta presents it as a tool that lets you tune Facebook more closely to what you want to see. That applies to your Feed and to Reels.
You no longer have to rely only on what Facebook infers from your behaviour. You can now say in plain language what you want to see more or less of. That means you give the system direct feedback, rather than only indirect signals through likes or watch time.
The feature works through the three-dot menu on posts. There you will find the options Interested and Not interested. You can also use natural language to explain your preferences. Facebook may ask follow-up questions to better understand exactly what you mean.
Behind Your Algorithm is AI technology using large language models. These models combine your direct feedback with signals Facebook already knows from your behaviour. As a result, the system can interpret what you want faster and more accurately than it could from your activity alone.
Changes become visible in the same scrolling session. So you do not have to wait long for your Feed and Reels to adapt to your wishes.
What does this mean for you?
For employees, this can be useful if Facebook is full of distractions. You can more quickly say which content you want to see less of. That helps make your Feed calmer, especially if you use Facebook during work.
Instagram users are already familiar with a similar approach. Instagram got Your Algorithm first, initially for Reels and later for Feed and Explore. Facebook is now following that example.
For entrepreneurs, it is important to understand this. Your audience gets more tools to say what they do and do not want to see. That means users can more easily push away content that does not interest them. Relevant and clear content therefore becomes even more important.
You can try Your Algorithm for yourself as soon as the feature appears on your account. Say which topics you want to see more of and which fewer. That will help you find out whether this feature improves your Facebook experience.
How do you get access to it in the Netherlands now?
Meta started rolling out Your Algorithm worldwide on 13 October 2026. Dataconomy Nederland confirms that the feature is available in the Netherlands.
There is no waiting list for this feature, and no paid versions are being offered. You can use Your Algorithm as soon as it appears on your account.
You will find the setting via the three-dot menu on posts in your Feed or Reels. If you do not see the option yet, that may mean the rollout has not reached your account yet. In that case, patience is advised.
